Find Yourself

You there. Yes, I am talking to you. Do you know you’re like a goose who can soar and touch the silky sky with an ease? Do you know you’re like a triggerfish, so beautiful yet so aggressive? You there. Yes, I am talking to you. Do you know you’re like a goose who can soar and touch the silky sky with an ease?

Do you know you’re like a triggerfish, so beautiful yet so aggressive? But you, of course, do not know that you’ve stars in you, infinite number of stars, which can illuminate your whole sky.

Your features are limitless and you’ve so many capabilities in you. Then why don’t you appreciate yourself? Why are you so busy showing them their qualities without noticing yours?

I am scared that you won’t be able to come out of that aquarium and swim in the ocean if you don’t perceive your capacity carefully. Why don’t you have time for yourself, honey?

I know you’ve lost many people. You obviously do not want to lose more. But mind you, out of all those ‘important’ (as you say) people, you’ve lost yourself at the earliest. Do you know why? Because you were too occupied with the so-called-important-people.

Tell me something, when you were sick last night and you really needed some soup, did anyone make that for you? No! Because they were not there. They are never there when you need them.

In the contrary, you’re there for yourself, one day at a time. That night you were too weak to get up and make some soup but you did that, because you knew you needed it and there was none to help.

Trust me, please trust me, you’ll have to deal with everything alone, just like that night. No one will come to save you. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever.

Crave for yourself and not for them. Love your sharp edges, your roughness, your imperfections, your wounds and your ugliest scars. They have taught you so much.

They have actually shaped you. Run your fingers through your imperfections, slowly, lovingly. No, don’t be afraid.

Fall back in love, baby. Fall back in that extraordinary love with yourself. Rediscover your strangest talent and nurture it. Embrace it. Swim just like that triggerfish in the constellation of countless stars, swiftly, aggressively, efficiently, beautifully.

You’re strong enough to do that. Just start from somewhere, anywhere, then see how you rock your sky.

Yours lovingly,
Nick.
